NHSRC Junior Consultant Recruitment 2025 – Quality and Patient Safety Division

About NHSRC and Quality Division
NHSRC is a technical support organization that aids the National Health Mission (NHM) and the Ministry of Health in strengthening public health systems across India. The Quality and Patient Safety (QPS) Division within NHSRC plays a key role in implementing national quality initiatives such as:
- National Quality Assurance Standards (NQAS)
- LaQshya (Labour Room Quality Improvement)
- Kayakalp (Cleanliness in public health facilities)
- MusQan (Child-friendly services)
- AEFI Surveillance
- IPHL & CLMC Quality Frameworks
The division also supports states through training, mentoring, certification processes, and acts as the secretariat for quality initiatives on behalf of MoHFW. NHSRC’s QPS Division is also designated as a WHO Collaborating Centre for Patient Safety.
Position Overview: Junior Consultant – Quality and Patient Safety
Work Location: New Delhi
Contract Duration: Initially up to 31st March 2027 (Extendable based on performance)
Salary Range: ₹40,000 to ₹70,000 per month (based on experience and qualifications)
Age Limit: Maximum 40 years (as of the application deadline)

Roles & Responsibilities
- Support implementation of NQAS, LaQshya, Kayakalp, MusQan, and other quality initiatives at the state and district levels.
- Conduct training and mentoring visits across various states.
- Draft and revise quality guidelines and tools.
- Analyse performance indicators and suggest evidence-based improvements.
- Work on drafting reports, resource materials, and participate in quality certification assessments.
- Stay updated with GoI initiatives and global best practices in health quality.
- May also be assigned to work in the Certification Unit of NHSRC.
Eligibility Criteria
Essential Qualifications:
- MBBS/BDS/AYUSH degree from a recognized institute.
- Full-time postgraduate degree or diploma in Hospital Management or Public Health.
- At least 1 year of post-qualification experience, including 1 year of experience in implementing NQAS at the state or national level.
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal in English and Hindi).
- Proficiency in MS Office and data analytics tools.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Direct involvement in certification or accreditation of health facilities under NQAS, NABH, NABL, ISO 9001, JCI, etc.
- Certified Internal or External Assessor for quality systems.
- Recognized qualification in Quality Systems (may be waived for exceptional candidates).
